Whole-health care looks beyond a diagnosis or symptoms and supports the whole person—physically, emotionally, cognitively, relationally, and spiritually. It’s about living fully, doing the things that matter most to you in the places you live life.
At Alta, that means helping people build or reclaim routines, roles, meaningful activities, everyday tasks, and rhythms of life that are meaningful to you; at home and in the community.
Alta Integrated Wellness is proud to be part of a larger movement toward whole-person care. The VA’s Whole Health initiative and organizations like Whole Health Institute in Bentonville are also leading the way in shifting the culture of care toward connection, empowerment, and well-being.

Hi, I'm Dr. Kathy Lenahan, OTD, MS, OTR/L, founder of Alta Integrated Wellness.
After more than 15 years working across healthcare, education, mental health, rehabilitation, and community-based settings, I recognized a recurring challenge: many of the barriers affecting a person's independence don't exist in a clinic. They exist at home, at work, at school, and within the community.
Alta Integrated Wellness was created to address those barriers.
I believe that improving health and quality of life starts with supporting functional independence. When people can safely manage their daily activities, access their communities, participate in meaningful roles, pursue education, maintain employment, and engage in the activities that matter most to them, they have greater opportunities to thrive.
I also believe that transforming health outcomes requires investing in the professionals who make those outcomes possible. Alta was built not only to serve individuals and families, but also to create meaningful opportunities for occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other professionals to practice at the top of their license, develop specialized expertise, and make a lasting impact within their communities.
Today, Alta partners with individuals, families, employers, educational programs, healthcare organizations, and community agencies to support functional independence across the lifespan.
Through innovative partnerships, evidence-based services, and a growing network of professionals, Alta is expanding access to solutions that help people live, work, learn, and thrive.
The name Alta honors my mother and great-grandmother, whose legacy of love, service, and care continues to inspire this work. Alta also means "higher" or "elevated," reflecting our commitment to lifting one another up—clients, families, providers, and communities alike.
Whether you're seeking support, exploring a partnership, or looking for a more meaningful way to practice, I would love to connect.
Sincerely,
Dr. Kathy Lenahan, OTD, MS, OTR/L Founder, Alta Integrated Wellness
